I enjoyed the presentation, especially the thought, care, and to look at art. You made an excellent point about visual perception as a key difference between representational with abstract art. One example I disagree with you is your opinion that Monet’s Sunset was less perceptual than the painting of the woman crying. My view is the opposite, the Monet is a master of visual perception of depth, light, atmosphere, and colors. The other painting was flat and generalized in tones and hues, more like he painted it in a studio without having reference the setting in real life.
